Job Title: Child & Family Services Assistant

Job Description:
Work in conjunction with the Child Development Specialist to support young children with special needs to meet individual goals and support classroom staff in the demonstration and implementation of strategies and behavior management techniques to create an inclusive classroom environment. Must also provide administrative support to the disabilities and mental health content areas to assist with tracking screenings and entering data, creating reports, scheduling appointments with families to meet with Mental Health Consultant, help with sustaining effective internal and external communications for effective services, and help with creating specific tools and materials to meet childrenís individual goals. Associateís or Bachelorís Degree in Special Education, Behavioral Health, or Mental Health Counseling with 2+ years of relevant work experience needed. Must possess knowledge of Head Start objectives and philosophy. Ability to effectively multi-task with strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with Microsoft Office and relevant online applications. Must be able to work sensitively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and varying physical and emotional abilities. Weekly Hours: 15 - 40 hrs/wk. 46 wks/yr.

Job Description:
Responsible for assisting classroom teaching staff with facilitating and guiding activities for infant/toddler classrooms or preschool classrooms, including maintaining a safe, neat, organized learning environment that is welcoming, nurturing, and high functioning. Must have or commit to enroll in a CDA credential program to be completed in no less than two years from hire or must be enrolled in a program for an Associateís or Bachelorís Degree. Must be EEC Infant/Toddler or Preschool Teacher certified or have a pending application for teaching certification. Must have knowledge and experience in early childhood education & developmentally appropriate practices. Must be able to work successfully in a team setting while remaining flexible to change with a positive approach. Full-time available for 40 hours per week, 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., 46 weeks/yr., non-exempt positions with Great Benefits. OPEN TO JOB SHARING FOR PART-TIME HOURS. Send resume with references.

Job Description:
Assist classroom staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for infants, toddlers, and/or preschools in child care. Assist classroom staff with daily care and with carrying out curriculum and classroom goals. High School Diploma or GED/Hi-SET. Must be able to understand the needs of young children and be able to respond appropriately. Must be open to working a flexible schedule as needed.
